The Communication Verbs directory contains 28 files, each of which is a directory corresponding to a FrameNet frame that is a sub-category of "Communication". Each contains four sub-directories:

(1) FN-LUs : the lexical units (verbs only) associated with the frame in the FrameNet 1.2 database.

(2) Sense-tagged : the lexical units listed in FN-LUs plus additional verbs, tagged with WordNet 2.0 sense tags. The algorithm by which the sense-tagging of FrameNet LUs is accomplished, and by which additional words are added to the category, is outlined in

(3) Definitions-Sense-tagged : provides the WordNet 2.0 definitions for each of the senses given in the file Sense-tagged.

(4) WN-categories : contains the general category assigned to the sense, as identified in the SUMO rendering of the WordNet database.


The files FnWnSenselists.zip and FnWnSenselists.tgz contain the Communication Verbs directory in its entirety.
